We are in the throes of last minute preparations for our month in India. Four days to go and so much to do yet! We have prescriptions for many possible ailments, have voted (since we return the day after election day), and loaded up on a new camera, portable tripod, and even took the plunge and got iPhones for recording and communicating our experience.
We pray God will get us through the next few days and onto the plane with whatever we really need. I think, though, that the prayers we have received, the support from many friends, colleagues and Grace church, along with experiences telling and teaching biblical stories over many years are the main things we need. We already have those so I feel confident all will be well.
The Bible that rests behind us as we tell stories in our local church symbolizes for me the foundation of a loving faith community at home that gives me courage for the journey into unknown and faraway places. It may even get us through the next four days! Amelia
